Susan Swift

Susan Swift is a highly skilled planning professional with over 30 years of environmental and land use planning experience, including regulatory compliance, environmental document preparation, project management, and technical analyses. Her areas of expertise include sustainability, land use, aesthetic, and community impacts of development.
Susan has extensive experience in successfully coordinating efforts between public agencies and the private sector; managing and preparing environmental impact reports (EIRs), environmental impact statements (EISs), environmental assessments (EAs), mitigated negative declarations (MNDs), and mitigation monitoring plans; and facilitating National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance.
Most recently, Susan founded an independent consulting firm, SwiftEnvirons LLC, with Joel Swift. Their projects focus on air quality, light, innovative research and healthcare facilities, stem-cell research, sustainability, higher education, and anchor institutions.
