Sriram Rajagopalan
Dr. Sriram Rajagopalan, PhD., MBA., PMP, PfMP, PgMP serves as the Global Head of Agile Strategy, Transformation, and Training Services at Inflectra, Assistant Teaching Professor with the College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University, and President of Agile Training Champions doing management training.
Dr. Rajagopalan has worked as the Vice President of Operational Excellence and Training, Vice President of Proposition Delivery, and Vice President of Program Management Office at Aptus Health. During his tenure as Vice President, he managed a portfolio of programs and projects. Besides establishing the Level 5 Program Management Office (PMO) in Aptus Health and a Project Office in West Notifications Group, Dr. Rajagopalan delivered numerous projects for clients such as eFunds, Northwest Airlines, CVS Pharmacy, Prime Therapeutics, US Airways, Blue Cross Blue Shield, GSK, Novartis, Boehringer-Ingelheim, AstraZeneca, and Depomed. He received the prestigious global PMI Eric Jenett PMI Excellence award in 2017 and was also one of the finalists for the Kerzner award for process excellence in 2012.
Dr. Rajagopalan has published peer-reviewed scholarly journals and white papers and background papers, on practitioner columns on topics related to middle management transformation through project management. He has created his reference frameworks, such as TONES for middle management transformation, PARAG for product management and SLEEP for people centric leadership. Dr. Rajagopalan offers training courses and certification prep courses on numerous topics such as Agile, DASSM, PMP, Scrum, Risk, etc.
Dr. Rajagopalan volunteered at PMI Mass Bay Chapter, Agile Alliance, and NAAAP. With PMI Mass Bay Chapter, he served in the board as the Vice President of Marketing and Communication and as the Director of Speakers’ Bureau. He served on the board of the BU Agile Innovation Lab. Dr. Rajagopalan founded the “Leadership Matters” initiative with the Northeastern University Leadership program and has been supporting it. Dr. Rajagopalan also actively supports the Global Leadership and Project Management Symposium at Northeastern University and as an advisory board member in the Global Skill Development Council.
Dr. Rajagopalan is passionate about his Projecting Leaders of Tomorrow (PLOT) initiative through which he brings project management and agile principles to youth leadership for children in high schools and to college students in all majors. Dr. Rajagopalan published his book, “Organized Common Sense,” to support his PLOT initiative. He has been actively blogging on https://agilesriram.blogspot.com, creates travel vlogs, and is active speaking at numerous conferences such as PMI MassBay, PMI Chicago Agile Conference, InflectraCon, Agile DevOps, Global Conference of Education, Kanban India, and others.
Dr. Rajagopalan earned his bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Madras in India, a master’s (MS) degree in Computer Engineering from Wayne State University, Michigan, a business (MBA) degree in Management from Concordia University, Wisconsin, and a doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in Organization and Management from Capella University, Minnesota. He holds many professional certifications, such as the PfMP, PgMP, PMP, PMI-ACP, PMI-SP, PMI-RMP, SPC, DASSM, PARP, CSP, CSPO, A-CSPO, CSD, CSM, A-CSM, ICC-ACC, SSBB, LSSBB, IT Project+, CSOXP, SCM, SCPO, SCD, SAMC, SCT, and SSMC.
