Jeffrey D. Pullen

Dr. Jeffrey D. Pullen serves as the Associate Director, Financial Systems for the Justice Department. He oversees several Departmental financial management and payroll systems. He has an extensive background in accounting, information systems, and project management. Dr. Pullen holds graduate degrees in Information Systems, Accounting, Public Administration, and Project Management and a doctoral degree in Project Management. He holds certifications from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Federal Acquisitions Institute (FAC-COR Level III and FAC-P/PM Senior Level). 

Dr Pullen has been bestowed several awards during his career. In 2015, he was awarded the Department of Justice’s Attorney General Award for Excellence in Information Technology and again in 2023 for Excellence in Management for his work with the Department’s Unified Financial Management System. In 2024, he was recognized by NextGov/FCW with a Federal 100 award for his contributions to public sector technology. His agency was awarded the SAP Sapphire Outstanding Achiever award for their innovative Justice Enterprise Data Integration & Business Intelligence Portal – Next Generation (JEDI-NG), which is managed by Dr. Pullen.

Academically, Dr. Pullen serves as an adjunct professor for several colleges and universities, teaching undergraduate and graduate accounting, business, and information system courses. Also, he currently serves on the AGA Higher Education Committee.
